    Levinson Alcoser is providing architectural design services for the new Miramar Central Plaza shopping center located at Miramar Parkway and South Flamingo Road in Miramar. The anticipated opening of this ground-up retail development is the 1st quarter of 2016. Retailers will include Ross, Dress Barn, LA Fitness, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Hair Cuttery, Gentle Dental, and Walmart Neighborhood Market.

    Miramar Central Plaza is being designed in accordance with the City of Miramar’s architectural design criteria and the traditional architecture and design themes of South Florida. The style incorporates soft colors, Spanish tile roofs, shade-producing elements along pedestrian-oriented frontages, and lush greenery surrounding the building structures.

    87th Avenue and Miami Gardens Drive in Miami-Dade County. Levinson Alcoser is
    providing architectural design services for this development, which will include Ross,
    Home Goods, Dress Barn, Shoe Carnival, Michaels, PDQ, and LA Fitness, along with
    Walmart Neighborhood Market.

    Staying true to its Florida location, the center is being designed using soft colors and
    a sleek, contemporary, elegant style. Palm Springs Square is expected to open in the
    4th quarter of 2015.

PONDEROSA PARK

    Ponderosa Park is a 10-acre walking park located in an established North Houston suburban neighborhood. It features two naturalistic ponds, gazebos, pergolas, picnic pavilions and more than a half-mile of walking paths in the beautiful “big thicket” woods abutting
    Cypress Creek.

    Levinson Alcoser Associates provided project programming for this challenging site, which lies almost entirely within the 100-year floodplain and the Cypress Creek Floodway. Because existing neighborhood parks fulfilled the requirements for playgrounds and play equipment, and because of the location, a new type of program had to be developed. Ultimately, the concept solution was a “walking park” that incorporates interpretive nature signage, interactive features, and the use of durable and sustainable materials.

    Services provided for this project included: flood stage flow analysis, sun/shade analysis, vegetation analysis, concept design, hardscape design, vegetation preservation and
    clearing design, planting design, irrigation design, and construction documentation and construction administration.

Located at the corner of Fountain View Drive and San Felipe, the project is mixed-use, urban-styled architecture and includes a new HEB supermarket, multi-tenant retail and restaurant building, a bank, and a mid-rise residential tower.
